Job description

Staff Management: You recruit, train, supervise, and schedule staff members, ensuring that the shop is adequately staffed and that employees are well-trained and motivated to provide excellent customer service. Visual Merchandising: You oversee the layout and presentation of merchandise in the shop, ensuring that displays are attractive, organized, and aligned with the brand image. This may involve arranging product displays, window displays, and promotional signage. Inventory Management: You manage inventory levels, ordering stock as needed to maintain optimal levels and minimize stockouts or overstock situations. This includes tracking inventory, conducting regular stock counts, and analyzing sales data to identify trends and forecast demand. Sales and Customer Service: You set sales targets and goals for the shop and work to achieve them through effective sales strategies, promotions, and customer service initiatives. You and your staff provide assistance and support to customers, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Financial Management: You oversee the shop's financial performance, monitoring sales, expenses, and profitability. This may involve budgeting, tracking expenses, and analyzing financial reports to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities. Marketing and Promotion: You develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to attract customers and drive sales. This may include advertising campaigns, social media marketing, and coordinating special events or promotions. Compliance and Safety: You ensure that the shop complies with all relevant regulations and safety standards, including health and safety regulations, employment laws, and licensing requirements. Vendor and Supplier Management: You establish relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating terms and agreements for the procurement of goods and services. You may also evaluate vendor performance and seek out new suppliers to improve product offerings or reduce costs. Administrative Tasks: You handle administrative tasks related to shop operations, such as maintaining records, processing payroll, and handling paperwork related to orders, deliveries, and returns. Continuous Improvement: You continuously monitor and evaluate shop performance, seeking out opportunities for improvement in areas such as sales, customer service, efficiency, and profitability. You implement changes and initiatives to address any issues and optimize shop operations.
