Job description

Staff Management: You recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate store staff, including sales associates, cashiers, and stock clerks. You delegate tasks, set performance targets, and provide guidance and support to ensure that employees perform effectively and meet customer service standards. Visual Merchandising: You oversee the layout and presentation of merchandise in the store to create an attractive and appealing shopping environment. You ensure that products are displayed prominently, organized neatly, and priced accurately to maximize sales and customer engagement. Inventory Management: You monitor and manage inventory levels, including ordering stock, replenishing merchandise, and conducting regular stock counts to prevent stockouts or overstock situations. You analyze sales data and trends to forecast demand and adjust inventory levels accordingly. Sales Performance: You set sales targets and develop strategies to achieve sales goals and maximize revenue. You monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and identify opportunities for improvement. You motivate and incentivize staff to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service. Customer Service: You ensure that customers receive exceptional service and have a positive shopping experience. You address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively, resolving issues to their satisfaction and building customer loyalty. Financial Management: You manage the store budget, including controlling expenses, tracking revenue, and monitoring profitability. You analyze financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and sales reports, to identify areas for cost reduction or revenue enhancement. Marketing and Promotions: You develop and implement marketing strategies and promotional activities to drive traffic to the store and increase sales. This may include advertising campaigns, in-store promotions, discounts, and loyalty programs to attract and retain customers. Compliance: You ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including health and safety standards, employment laws, and retail regulations. You maintain accurate records and documentation, such as employee schedules, sales reports, and inventory records, to demonstrate compliance. Vendor Management: You liaise with suppliers and vendors to negotiate terms, place orders, and ensure timely delivery of merchandise. You maintain positive relationships with vendors, resolving any issues or discrepancies related to orders, pricing, or quality. Continuous Improvement: You strive for continuous improvement in store operations, customer service, and sales performance. You seek feedback from customers and staff, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes or initiatives to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
