Job description

Team Management: Supervise and lead a team of automotive technicians, mechanics, service advisors, and support staff. Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures to uphold high standards of workmanship and service excellence. Conduct inspections and quality checks on completed repairs or maintenance services to verify accuracy, safety, and compliance with industry standards. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of automotive parts, components, and supplies to ensure adequate stock availability for repairs and maintenance. Monitor inventory turnover, reorder points, and stock rotation practices to minimize stockouts, overstocking, and obsolescence. Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of automotive repair equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure operational efficiency and safety. Schedule regular inspections, servicing, and repairs of shop equipment to prevent breakdowns and maintain functionality. Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices to create a safe work environment for employees and customers. Conduct safety training sessions, hazard assessments, and emergency drills to mitigate risks and prevent accidents in the shop. Financial Management: Monitor shop performance metrics, including revenue, expenses, profit margins, and labor costs, to achieve financial targets and objectives. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for shop operations, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth. Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns, advertising strategies, and customer loyalty programs to attract and retain customers. Participate in community events, trade shows, and networking activities to raise awareness of the shop's services and build relationships with potential customers.
