Job description

Sales and Customer Service: Setting sales targets and goals for the store, and motivating the sales team to achieve them. Monitoring sales performance, analyzing trends, and implementing strategies to increase sales and profitability. Ensuring excellent customer service standards are maintained, resolving customer complaints or issues promptly, and fostering a positive shopping experience. Staff Management and Development: Recruiting, hiring, and training new staff members, and conducting performance evaluations for existing team members. Managing staff schedules, assigning duties, and ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs. Providing leadership, coaching, and support to the team to maximize their potential and productivity. Inventory and Stock Management: Monitoring inventory levels, conducting regular stock checks, and managing stock replenishment. Implementing inventory control measures to minimize shrinkage, loss, or damage of stock. Collaborating with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and negotiate favorable terms and pricing. Visual Merchandising and Store Layout: Planning and executing visual merchandising displays to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the store and attract customers. Ensuring the store layout is optimized for customer flow, product visibility, and ease of shopping. Financial Management: Managing the store budget, expenses, and operational costs to ensure profitability. Analyzing financial reports, such as sales reports and profit and loss statements, and taking corrective actions as needed. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment for staff and customers. Implementing security measures, such as CCTV surveillance and theft prevention strategies, to protect store assets. Promotions and Marketing: Planning and executing promotional campaigns, sales events, and marketing initiatives to drive foot traffic and sales. Utilizing social media platforms and local marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and customer engagement. Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their preferences and shopping habits, and implementing strategies to enhance customer loyalty. Collecting customer feedback and suggestions to improve products, services, and the overall shopping experience. Compliance and Reporting: Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. Providing regular reports and updates to senior management on store performance, sales trends, and operational issues. Continuous Improvement: Monitoring industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimize store operations, enhance efficiency, and achieve business objectives.
