Job description

Customer Service and Communication: Greeting customers and assessing their service requirements, such as routine maintenance, repairs, or diagnostics. Providing personalized service recommendations based on vehicle inspection, manufacturer guidelines, and customer concerns. Explaining service options, procedures, and costs clearly and effectively to customers. Appointment Scheduling and Coordination: Scheduling service appointments and managing the service bay schedule to optimize workflow and minimize wait times. Coordinating with service technicians and parts departments to ensure timely completion of repairs and parts availability. Vehicle Inspection and Diagnosis: Conducting initial vehicle inspections to identify issues or concerns reported by customers. Collaborating with service technicians to diagnose complex problems and recommend appropriate repair solutions. Estimates and Quotations: Providing accurate cost estimates for service and repair work, including parts, labor, and additional services. Obtaining customer approval for service work and informing them of any changes or additional costs during the repair process. Parts Ordering and Inventory Management: Ordering necessary parts and materials for scheduled service appointments or repair jobs. Monitoring parts inventory levels, ensuring availability of commonly used parts, and coordinating with the parts department for restocking. Customer Follow-Up and Satisfaction: Following up with customers to confirm service completion, explain service findings, and ensure satisfaction with the work performed. Addressing customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints promptly and professionally. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate service records, including work orders, invoices, and customer communication logs. Documenting vehicle history, service recommendations, and any warranty information for future reference. Technical Knowledge and Training: Staying informed about vehicle makes, models, and technical specifications to provide knowledgeable service advice. Participating in ongoing training and professional development to keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements. Compliance and Safety: Adhering to dealership policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, including regulatory requirements and manufacturer standards. Promoting a safe and clean work environment, including adherence to environmental and waste disposal regulations. Sales and Upselling: Identifying opportunities for upselling additional services, maintenance packages, or accessories based on customer needs and vehicle condition. Collaborating with sales departments to promote service plans, warranties, or customer loyalty programs.
