Job description

Supervision and Leadership: Providing leadership and direction to security staff, including security guards, officers, and personnel. Assigning duties, scheduling shifts, and ensuring adequate coverage of security posts and patrols. Training and Development: Conducting training sessions for security personnel on security procedures, emergency protocols, use of security equipment, and conflict resolution techniques. Providing ongoing coaching and development to enhance the skills and effectiveness of the security team. Security Planning and Implementation: Developing and implementing security plans, protocols, and procedures to mitigate risks and threats to the safety and security of the premises. Collaborating with management to assess security needs and develop strategies for enhancing security measures. Patrols and Surveillance: Conducting regular patrols and inspections of the premises to identify security vulnerabilities, unauthorized activities, or safety hazards. Monitoring surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and respond to security breaches or incidents promptly. Access Control: Managing access control systems, including monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and issuing visitor badges or access passes. Enforcing access policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized entry or trespassing. Emergency Response and Crisis Management: Developing and implementing emergency response plans for various scenarios, such as fires, medical emergencies, security breaches, or natural disasters. Coordinating with emergency responders, such as police, fire department, and medical services, during critical incidents. Incident Investigation and Reporting: Conducting investigations into security incidents, accidents, or breaches of security protocols. Documenting findings, collecting evidence, and preparing incident reports for management review and regulatory compliance. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identifying potential security risks and vulnerabilities through risk assessments and security audits. Recommending and implementing measures to mitigate risks, such as improving lighting, installing security cameras, or upgrading access controls. Customer Service and Conflict Resolution: Interacting with tenants, employees, visitors, and other stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner. Resolving conflicts or disputes peacefully and effectively, de-escalating tense situations, and maintaining a positive and welcoming environment. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security, safety, and privacy. Keeping abreast of changes in regulations and updating security policies and procedures accordingly. Asset Protection and Loss Prevention: Implementing measures to protect valuable assets, inventory, and equipment from theft, vandalism, or sabotage. Collaborating with management to develop strategies for loss prevention and asset recovery.
