Job description

Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to security staff, including security guards, officers, and other personnel. Delegate tasks, assign responsibilities, and establish work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and effective security operations. Training and Development: Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing education and development opportunities for security personnel. Train staff on security procedures, emergency response protocols, use of security equipment, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Security Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement security plans, strategies, and protocols to mitigate risks, prevent incidents, and maintain a safe and secure environment. Assess security vulnerabilities, conduct risk assessments, and develop contingency plans for emergencies. Patrol and Monitoring: Conduct regular patrols and inspections of designated areas to monitor security activities, detect suspicious behavior, and identify potential security threats. Utilize surveillance equipment, alarm systems, and access control systems to enhance security measures. Incident Response and Management: Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms. Coordinate with law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and other stakeholders to manage crisis situations, secure the scene, and ensure the safety of individuals. Investigations and Reporting: Conduct investigations into security breaches, incidents, and policy violations. Gather evidence, interview witnesses, and prepare detailed incident reports documenting findings and recommendations for corrective action. Access Control and Visitor Management: Implement access control measures to regulate entry and exit from the premises. Verify credentials, issue visitor badges, and enforce security policies to prevent unauthorized access and maintain the integrity of the facility. Security Technology Management: Oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security technology systems, including CCTV cameras, electronic access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and communication devices. Ensure equipment functionality and compliance with industry standards. Emergency Preparedness and Response: Develop emergency response plans and procedures for various scenarios, such as fires, medical emergencies, natural disasters, and security incidents. Conduct drills, tabletop exercises, and simulations to test preparedness and enhance response capabilities. Customer Service and Relations: Provide assistance and support to employees, visitors, and stakeholders in matters related to security, safety, and access. Address concerns, answer inquiries, and maintain positive relationships with clients, tenants, and community members. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, codes, and industry standards governing security operations. Stay informed about changes in security regulations and best practices, and implement necessary updates to maintain compliance. Performance Evaluation and Improvement: Evaluate the performance of security staff through regular performance reviews, feedback sessions, and performance appraisals. Identify training needs, recognize achievements, and implement corrective actions to improve performance and productivity.
