Job description

Surveillance and Monitoring: Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems to detect and prevent security breaches, unauthorized access, or suspicious activities. Patrols and Inspections: Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter criminal activity, ensure safety compliance, and identify security vulnerabilities. Inspect premises, doors, windows, and gates for signs of damage or tampering. Access Control: Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining visitor logs. Enforce access policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized entry and maintain security protocols. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms, such as fires, medical emergencies, or security breaches. Take appropriate action to mitigate risks, protect people and property, and coordinate with emergency responders as needed. Crowd Control: Manage crowds, queues, or large gatherings during events, demonstrations, or emergencies. Maintain order, enforce crowd control measures, and diffuse conflicts or disturbances to ensure public safety. Security Screening: Conduct security screenings of individuals, vehicles, or packages entering or exiting premises. Use metal detectors, X-ray machines, or manual inspections to detect prohibited items or contraband. Loss Prevention: Prevent theft, vandalism, or loss of property by implementing security measures such as inventory control, security tags, and anti-theft devices. Monitor high-risk areas and respond to incidents of theft or shoplifting. Conflict Resolution: Mediate disputes, conflicts, or confrontations between individuals in a calm and professional manner. Use verbal de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts and prevent escalation to physical violence. Report Writing: Document security incidents, observations, and activities in detailed incident reports or daily logs. Record relevant information such as time, date, location, involved parties, and actions taken for future reference or legal purposes. Training and Awareness: Participate in security training programs to stay updated on security protocols, emergency procedures, and industry best practices. Educate employees or visitors on security awareness, safety procedures, and emergency evacuation routes. Collaboration with Authorities: Coordinate with law enforcement agencies, emergency responders, and other security professionals to share information, report incidents, and collaborate on security-related matters. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in security procedures, equipment, or training and make recommendations to enhance security effectiveness. Participate in security assessments, risk assessments, and security audits to identify and mitigate security risks.
