Job description

Surveillance and Monitoring: Monitor premises, property, or facilities using surveillance systems, CCTV cameras, or patrols to detect and prevent security breaches, unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, or other suspicious activities. Access Control: Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges or access cards, and enforcing entry policies and procedures. Monitor entrances and exits to ensure only authorized personnel and visitors gain entry. Security Screening: Conduct security screenings of individuals, vehicles, or packages entering or leaving the premises. Use metal detectors, X-ray machines, or other screening devices to detect prohibited items, weapons, or contraband. Patrolling and Response: Conduct patrols of designated areas to deter criminal activity and respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, or emergencies. Take appropriate action to resolve incidents, secure the area, and escalate issues as needed. Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies such as fires, medical emergencies, or security threats by following established emergency procedures and protocols. Assist with evacuations, provide first aid or assistance to individuals in distress, and coordinate with emergency services as necessary. Incident Reporting: Document security incidents, observations, and activities in incident reports or logs. Provide detailed and accurate accounts of incidents, including descriptions of individuals involved, actions taken, and outcomes. Risk Assessment: Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security threats, weaknesses, or vulnerabilities. Recommend security measures, controls, or countermeasures to mitigate risks and enhance security posture. Security Policies and Procedures: Enforce security policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance with organizational standards, industry regulations, and legal requirements. Educate staff and stakeholders on security best practices and protocols. Security Training: Provide security awareness training to employees, contractors, or tenants to enhance their understanding of security risks, procedures, and responsibilities. Train personnel on emergency response protocols, evacuation procedures, and crisis management techniques. Security Technology Management: Operate and maintain security equipment and technology, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, alarm systems, and communication devices. Perform regular inspections, testing, and maintenance to ensure equipment functionality and reliability. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other security staff, departments, or external stakeholders to coordinate security efforts and share information. Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and stakeholders to report incidents, share intelligence, and coordinate responses. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about emerging security threats, trends, and technologies through training, research, and professional development. Continuously evaluate security procedures, practices, and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and implement enhancements.
