Monitoring and Surveillance: Conducting patrols and monitoring premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, unauthorized access, or suspicious activities. Security personnel use surveillance systems, CCTV cameras, and observation skills to maintain vigilance. Access Control: Controlling access to restricted areas, buildings, or events by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, and enforcing entry procedures. Security personnel may operate security gates, checkpoints, or electronic access systems to manage entry and exit. Emergency Response: Responding promptly to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, security breaches, or alarms. Security personnel take appropriate action, alert emergency services if necessary, and coordinate evacuation procedures to ensure public safety. Conflict Resolution: Mediating disputes, de-escalating tense situations, and applying conflict resolution techniques to maintain order and prevent escalation. Security personnel communicate calmly, enforce rules and policies, and intervene when necessary to maintain peace. Security Checks and Inspections: Conducting security checks, inspections, or screenings of individuals, vehicles, or bags to detect prohibited items or suspicious substances. Security personnel may use metal detectors, X-ray machines, or handheld wands as part of screening procedures. Report Writing and Documentation: Documenting incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports or logbooks. Security personnel record information such as incidents of theft, property damage, or security breaches for administrative or investigative purposes. Patrol and Response Planning: Planning and executing regular patrols or security rounds to deter criminal activity and ensure a visible security presence. Security personnel establish patrol routes, check designated areas, and maintain communication with control centers or supervisors. Security Equipment Operation: Operating and maintaining security equipment and devices, including radios, alarms, surveillance cameras, and emergency response systems. Security personnel troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure proper functioning during shifts. Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other security team members, law enforcement agencies, emergency responders, and facility personnel to coordinate security efforts, share information, and respond effectively to incidents or emergencies. Customer Service: Providing assistance, guidance, and information to visitors, employees, or customers regarding security procedures, directions, or emergency protocols.
