Job description

Surveillance: Monitor premises, buildings, or facilities using surveillance cameras, alarms, and other monitoring systems to detect and deter suspicious activity or unauthorized access. Access Control: Control access to restricted areas or sensitive locations by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, and enforcing security protocols such as ID checks, bag inspections, and metal detector screenings. Patrols: Conduct regular patrols or inspections of assigned areas to ensure security, safety, and compliance with security policies and procedures, and respond promptly to any security incidents or emergencies. Emergency Response: Respond quickly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms such as fire, medical emergencies, or criminal activity, and take appropriate action to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of individuals and property. Conflict Resolution: Handle conflicts, disputes, or disturbances that arise on the premises in a calm and professional manner, and intervene as necessary to de-escalate situations and prevent violence or disruption. Security Checks: Conduct security checks of vehicles, bags, packages, or personal belongings entering or exiting the premises to prevent unauthorized items or contraband from entering the facility. Reporting: Document and report security incidents, accidents, or unusual occurrences using incident reports, logbooks, or electronic reporting systems, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, management, or law enforcement as required. Training and Awareness: Provide security awareness training to employees, tenants, or visitors to promote a culture of security and vigilance, and educate them on security policies, procedures, and emergency response protocols. Security Technology: Operate and maintain security equipment and technology such as CCTV cameras, access control systems, alarm systems, and metal detectors, and troubleshoot technical issues as needed to ensure optimal performance. Risk Assessment: Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potential security threats, weaknesses, or vulnerabilities, and recommend measures to mitigate risks and enhance security posture. Collaboration: Collaborate with other security personnel, law enforcement agencies, emergency responders, and external stakeholders to coordinate security efforts, share information, and respond effectively to security challenges or incidents. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, codes, and industry standards related to security, safety, and privacy, and implement measures to address any deficiencies or areas of non-compliance.
