Job description

Surveillance: Monitor premises, property, and people via security cameras, patrols, or other means to detect and prevent security breaches, theft, vandalism, or other criminal activity. Access Control: Control access to restricted areas by checking credentials, issuing badges, or operating security gates and barriers. Ensure only authorized individuals are allowed entry into secure areas. Security Screening: Conduct security screening of individuals and their belongings using metal detectors, x-ray machines, or other screening equipment to prevent prohibited items from entering the premises. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms. Take appropriate action to mitigate threats, provide assistance to individuals in distress, and coordinate with emergency responders as needed. Patrol and Observation: Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to deter criminal activity, identify security risks, and ensure compliance with security procedures. Remain vigilant and observant at all times. Report Writing: Document security incidents, observations, and activities in written reports. Maintain accurate records of security-related incidents, investigations, and responses for future reference or legal purposes. Customer Service: Provide assistance, directions, and information to employees, visitors, and clients. Act as a friendly and helpful point of contact while maintaining a professional demeanor. Security Policies and Procedures: Enforce security policies, procedures, and regulations established by the organization or regulatory authorities. Ensure compliance with security standards and protocols to maintain a safe and secure environment. Risk Assessment: Assess security risks and vulnerabilities within the environment and implement measures to mitigate potential threats. Conduct security audits, inspections, or assessments to identify areas for improvement. Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts or disputes peacefully and professionally. Use effective communication and de-escalation techniques to defuse tense situations and prevent escalation into violence or confrontation. Teamwork and Collaboration: Collaborate with other security personnel, law enforcement agencies, or emergency responders to address security concerns, share information, and coordinate responses to security incidents. Training and Education: Stay informed about current security trends, threats, and best practices. Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in security-related areas.
