Job description

Physical Security: Securing physical premises, facilities, and assets through measures such as access control systems, surveillance (CCTV), security guards, and alarms. Implementing protocols for visitor management, identification checks, and restricted access areas. Information Security: Safeguarding digital information, data, and IT systems from unauthorized access, breaches, or cyberattacks. Implementing cybersecurity measures such as firewalls, encryption, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems. Establishing policies and procedures for data protection, secure handling of sensitive information, and incident response planning. Personnel Security: Conducting background checks, screening, and vetting of employees, contractors, and third-party vendors. Providing security awareness training to employees to educate them about security policies, procedures, and best practices. Risk Assessment and Management: Identifying potential security risks and vulnerabilities through risk assessments and security audits. Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies and controls to reduce identified risks to an acceptable level. Emergency Preparedness and Response: Developing and maintaining emergency response plans and procedures for various scenarios, including natural disasters, fires, security breaches, and medical emergencies. Conducting drills, exercises, and simulations to ensure readiness and effectiveness of emergency response plans. Compliance and Legal Requirements: Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security and privacy. Keeping abreast of changes in regulatory requirements and adapting security practices accordingly. Incident Management: Establishing protocols and procedures for reporting security incidents, investigating incidents, and implementing corrective actions. Maintaining incident logs, conducting post-incident reviews, and implementing lessons learned to improve security posture. Security Culture and Awareness: Fostering a culture of security awareness and responsibility among employees through training, communication, and recognition of security achievements. Encouraging proactive reporting of security concerns or suspicious activities by employees.
