Job description

Physical Security: Protecting physical assets, facilities, and personnel from unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, or harm. This includes implementing measures such as access control systems, surveillance cameras, security guards, and perimeter fencing. Information Security: Safeguarding sensitive information and data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. This involves implementing cybersecurity measures such as firewalls, encryption, antivirus software, and access controls, as well as establishing policies and procedures for data handling and incident response. Cybersecurity: Protecting digital assets, networks, and systems from cyber threats such as malware, phishing attacks, data breaches, and cyber espionage. This requires proactive measures such as regular security assessments, vulnerability management, employee training, and incident detection and response capabilities. Identity and Access Management: Managing user identities and controlling access to systems, applications, and data based on the principle of least privilege. This involves authentication methods such as passwords, biometrics, and multi-factor authentication, as well as access control mechanisms such as role-based access control (RBAC) and permissions management. Security Awareness Training: Educating employees, contractors, and stakeholders about security risks, best practices, and policies to promote a security-conscious culture within the organization. This includes training on topics such as phishing awareness, password security, social engineering, and data protection. Incident Response: Developing and implementing procedures for responding to security incidents, breaches, or emergencies in a timely and effective manner. This includes incident detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery efforts, as well as communication with stakeholders and regulatory authorities. Security Governance and Compliance: Establishing governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure that security controls are effectively implemented, monitored, and enforced. This also involves compliance with relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and contractual obligations related to security and privacy. Physical Safety: Ensuring the safety of individuals within the organization or community by implementing measures such as emergency evacuation plans, first aid kits, fire suppression systems, and training programs for emergency response. Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks and vulnerabilities that could impact the organization's operations, assets, or reputation. This involves conducting risk assessments, developing risk management strategies, and implementing controls to reduce risk to an acceptable level. Collaboration and Partnerships: Collaborating with internal stakeholders, external partners, law enforcement agencies, and industry peers to share threat intelligence, best practices, and resources for collective security efforts.
