Job description

Patrol and Surveillance: Conducting regular patrols of the nursing faculty buildings, parking lots, and surrounding areas to deter criminal activity, monitor for safety hazards, and respond to security incidents. Access Control: Controlling access to the nursing faculty buildings by verifying the identity of individuals, checking credentials, and ensuring that only authorized personnel and visitors are allowed entry. Emergency Response: Responding to emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fires, or security threats, by alerting appropriate authorities, coordinating evacuations, and providing assistance to faculty, students, and staff as needed. Security Systems Monitoring: Monitoring security systems, including surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems, to detect and respond to security breaches or suspicious activities in a timely manner. Crowd Control: Managing crowds and traffic during peak times, special events, or emergencies to maintain order and ensure the safety of individuals on the premises. Conflict Resolution: Intervening in conflicts or disputes between individuals on the premises, using de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution skills to defuse tense situations and prevent violence or disruption. Report Writing: Documenting security incidents, observations, and actions taken in written reports, and communicating information to appropriate personnel or authorities as required. Collaboration with Law Enforcement: Collaborating with local law enforcement agencies to report crimes, provide assistance during investigations, and coordinate joint efforts to address security concerns in the surrounding community. Training and Education: Providing training and education to faculty, students, and staff on topics such as personal safety, emergency procedures, and crime prevention strategies to enhance awareness and preparedness. Perimeter Security: Monitoring and securing the perimeter of the nursing faculty buildings, including gates, fences, and entry points, to prevent unauthorized access and protect the property from intruders. Crisis Management: Assisting with the development and implementation of crisis management plans, including emergency response protocols, communication strategies, and coordination with external agencies. Customer Service: Providing courteous and helpful assistance to faculty, students, and visitors, addressing inquiries, providing directions, and assisting with general information to enhance the overall experience on campus.
