Job description

Surveillance and Monitoring: Monitoring premises, including entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, through surveillance systems, CCTV cameras, or patrols to detect suspicious activities or security breaches. Access Control: Controlling access to buildings, facilities, or restricted areas by verifying identification, issuing visitor badges or passes, and ensuring only authorized personnel or visitors enter designated areas. Patrols and Inspections: Conducting regular patrols or inspections of assigned areas to check for security risks, hazards, or irregularities. Reporting incidents, emergencies, or unusual activities to appropriate authorities. Emergency Response: Responding promptly to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or security breaches. Taking appropriate actions to mitigate risks, provide assistance, and alert emergency services if necessary. Security Screening: Performing security screenings of individuals, vehicles, or belongings to prevent prohibited items from entering premises. Using metal detectors, X-ray machines, or manual inspections as required. Crowd Control: Managing crowds or gatherings to maintain order and ensure safety. Directing pedestrian or vehicular traffic during events or emergencies to prevent congestion or potential hazards. Communication: Maintaining communication with team members, supervisors, or central control rooms using two-way radios, phones, or communication devices. Providing updates, reporting incidents, and coordinating responses. Conflict Resolution: Resolving conflicts or disturbances calmly and professionally. Using de-escalation techniques, mediation skills, and enforcing security policies to maintain a peaceful environment. Safety Procedures: Enforcing safety and security procedures, protocols, and regulations. Conducting safety drills or training sessions to prepare staff and occupants for emergencies or evacuations. Report Writing: Documenting incidents, activities, or observations in detailed written reports. Recording information accurately, including timelines, descriptions, and actions taken during security incidents. Risk Assessment: Conducting security risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities, assess potential threats, and recommend preventive measures or security enhancements. Customer Service: Providing assistance, information, or directions to visitors, employees, or clients. Acting as a point of contact for inquiries, addressing concerns, and delivering exceptional customer service.
