Job description

Curriculum Development: Designing and developing lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments aligned with curriculum standards and educational objectives for teaching various branches of science such as biology, chemistry, physics, earth science, and environmental science. Instruction: Delivering engaging and effective science instruction to students of varying ages and proficiency levels, covering topics such as scientific inquiry, laboratory skills, scientific concepts, theories, and principles. Laboratory Management: Planning and conducting hands-on laboratory experiments and investigations to help students develop scientific inquiry skills, critical thinking abilities, and practical scientific knowledge. Classroom Management: Establishing and maintaining a positive and safe learning environment conducive to scientific inquiry and exploration, and managing student behavior to promote respect, cooperation, and participation. Assessment and Feedback: Assessing student understanding and progress through various methods such as quizzes, tests, lab reports, projects, and presentations, and providing timely and constructive feedback to support student learning and growth in science. Differentiation: Adapting instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with varying abilities, learning styles, and backgrounds, and providing additional support or challenges as needed. Integration of Technology: Incorporating technology tools and resources, such as computer simulations, data analysis software, and multimedia presentations, to enhance science instruction, facilitate learning, and engage students in scientific inquiry. Environmental and Safety Practices: Ensuring compliance with laboratory safety procedures and protocols, and promoting environmental awareness and sustainability practices in science education. Interdisciplinary Connections: Making connections between science and other disciplines such as mathematics, technology, engineering, and social studies, to help students understand the interdisciplinary nature of scientific inquiry and its real-world applications.
