Job description

Curriculum Development: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and instructional materials that align with curriculum standards and educational objectives in science subjects such as biology, chemistry, physics, or environmental science. Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student engagement, inquiry, and exploration. Manage classroom behavior and foster a culture of respect, collaboration, and participation. Teaching: Deliver interactive and hands-on lessons that promote inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Use a variety of teaching methods, demonstrations, experiments, and multimedia resources to facilitate student understanding and application of scientific concepts. Laboratory Instruction: Provide guidance and supervision to students during laboratory experiments and investigations. Ensure proper handling of equipment, adherence to safety protocols, and accurate recording of experimental data. Assessment and Evaluation: Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, including quizzes, tests, lab reports, projects, and presentations. Analyze student performance and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth and achievement. Differentiation: Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students, including English language learners (ELLs), gifted students, and students with special needs. Modify teaching strategies and materials as needed to accommodate individual learning differences. Integration of Technology: Integrate educational technology tools and resources into instruction to enhance student learning and engagement. Use multimedia presentations, interactive simulations, virtual labs, and online resources to supplement classroom teaching and learning. Science Fair and Projects: Coordinate and support students in science fair projects, research investigations, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) competitions. Provide guidance on experimental design, data analysis, and presentation skills. Field Trips and Experiential Learning: Organize and lead field trips, excursions, and outdoor activities to provide students with hands-on learning experiences and real-world applications of scientific concepts. Parent Communication: Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to provide updates on student progress, academic performance, and classroom activities. Collaborate with parents to support students' learning and development. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay updated on best practices in science education, instructional strategies, educational technology, and curriculum development.
