Job description

Curriculum Development: Plan and develop instructional materials, lesson plans, and teaching strategies aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives in science education. Classroom Management: Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment conducive to student engagement and participation. Establish and maintain classroom rules, routines, and procedures to promote respect, collaboration, and active learning. Instructional Delivery: Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities. Use a variety of teaching methods, techniques, and resources, including demonstrations, experiments, simulations, multimedia, and technology tools. Science Content Knowledge: Teach and reinforce concepts, principles, and theories in various scientific disciplines, such as biology, chemistry, physics, earth science, and environmental science. Provide clear explanations, examples, and applications to help students understand and apply scientific concepts effectively. Laboratory Skills and Safety: Provide hands-on laboratory experiences and practical activities to develop students' scientific inquiry and investigative skills. Teach laboratory safety procedures, protocols, and best practices to ensure a safe and productive learning environment. Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Foster critical thinking, inquiry, and problem-solving skills through scientific inquiry, experimentation, and analysis. Encourage students to ask questions, make predictions, gather evidence, and draw conclusions based on scientific evidence and reasoning. Scientific Literacy: Promote scientific literacy by helping students develop the ability to evaluate scientific information, analyze data, and make informed decisions about scientific issues and phenomena.
