Curriculum Development: Science Teachers develop and implement curriculum plans and instructional materials that align with educational standards and objectives. They design engaging lessons and learning activities that promote inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry. Subject Instruction: They teach fundamental concepts and principles in scientific disciplines such as: Biology: Cellular structure, genetics, ecology, human anatomy, and physiology. Chemistry: Atomic structure, chemical bonding, reactions, stoichiometry, and periodic table. Physics: Mechanics, thermodynamics, electricity and magnetism, optics, and waves. Earth and Environmental Science: Geology, meteorology, climate change, environmental sustainability, and ecosystems. Laboratory Experiments: Science Teachers conduct hands-on laboratory experiments and demonstrations to illustrate scientific principles, theories, and phenomena. They guide students in conducting experiments, collecting data, analyzing results, and drawing conclusions. Scientific Inquiry and Problem-Solving: They foster scientific inquiry skills by encouraging students to ask questions, formulate hypotheses, design experiments, and conduct investigations. Science Teachers promote critical thinking, data interpretation, and reasoning skills in scientific inquiry. Technology Integration: Science Teachers incorporate educational technology tools, simulations, virtual labs, and multimedia resources to enhance teaching and learning experiences in science.
