Job description

Curriculum Development: Developing and planning science curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional materials that align with educational standards, learning objectives, and students' grade levels and abilities. Instruction Delivery: Delivering engaging and effective science instruction through a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, demonstrations, experiments, hands-on activities, group projects, and multimedia presentations. Subject Matter Expertise: Demonstrating proficiency and expertise in scientific concepts, principles, theories, and methodologies across multiple disciplines, including biology, chemistry, physics, earth science, and environmental science. Laboratory Instruction: Planning and conducting laboratory experiments and investigations to reinforce and apply scientific concepts, promote critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and develop laboratory skills and techniques. Safety Protocols: Ensuring the safety of students and maintaining a safe laboratory environment by following established safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines for handling chemicals, equipment, and hazardous materials. Scientific Inquiry: Encouraging scientific inquiry, curiosity, and exploration among students, promoting the scientific method, hypothesis testing, data analysis, and drawing conclusions based on evidence. Problem-Solving Skills: Developing students' problem-solving skills and analytical thinking abilities by challenging them to solve real-world problems, analyze scientific data, and apply scientific principles to practical situations. Critical Thinking and Evaluation: Fostering critical thinking skills by encouraging students to evaluate scientific information, analyze experimental results, assess the validity of scientific claims, and think critically about scientific issues and controversies. Assessment and Evaluation: Assessing students' understanding of scientific concepts, knowledge, and skills through quizzes, tests, exams, lab reports, projects, and other assessment methods, and providing constructive feedback on their performance. Differentiated Instruction: Providing differentiated instruction and support to accommodate students with diverse learning needs, abilities, and backgrounds, including English language learners, students with learning disabilities, or gifted students. Integration of Technology: Integrating technology tools, simulations, virtual labs, multimedia resources, and interactive educational software into science instruction to enhance learning experiences, engage students, and promote digital literacy. Professional Development: Engaging in ongoing professional development activities, such as attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions, and staying updated on scientific advancements, research findings, and best practices in science education.
