Job description

Curriculum Development: Designing and developing science curriculum and lesson plans in alignment with educational standards, learning objectives, and students' needs and interests. Incorporating inquiry-based learning, hands-on activities, and real-world applications to engage students in scientific exploration. Subject Mastery: Demonstrating expertise in various scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, physics, earth science, environmental science, and astronomy. Providing accurate and up-to-date information, explanations, and demonstrations to support student learning. Instruction and Delivery: Delivering engaging and interactive science instruction using a variety of teaching methods, strategies, and instructional technologies. Presenting scientific concepts, principles, and theories in a clear, accessible manner that promotes understanding and inquiry. Laboratory Experiments: Planning, organizing, and supervising laboratory experiments and investigations to reinforce scientific concepts and develop students' experimental skills. Ensuring safety protocols and procedures are followed during laboratory activities. Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Encouraging students to think critically, analyze data, solve problems, and draw evidence-based conclusions through scientific inquiry and experimentation. Providing opportunities for students to apply scientific methods and principles to real-world scenarios. Science Literacy: Promoting scientific literacy and understanding among students by teaching them to evaluate scientific information critically, distinguish between fact and opinion, and communicate scientific ideas effectively. Assessment and Evaluation: Assessing student learning and progress through formative and summative assessments, quizzes, tests, projects, and lab reports. Providing constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and improvement in science. Differentiation and Individualized Instruction: Recognizing and addressing diverse learning needs, styles, and abilities among students. Differentiating instruction and providing additional support or enrichment activities as needed to accommodate all learners. Environmental and Health Awareness: Integrating environmental and health education into science instruction by exploring topics such as sustainability, climate change, pollution, biodiversity, and human health. Encouraging students to become responsible stewards of the environment and advocates for public health. STEM Integration: Integrating STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) principles and practices into science instruction through interdisciplinary projects, hands-on activities, and collaborative problem-solving experiences.
