Job description

Curriculum Development: Designing and planning science lessons, experiments, and activities that align with curriculum standards and learning objectives. Developing instructional materials and resources to engage students and facilitate learning. Subject Instruction: Teaching a range of scientific subjects, including biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science, and earth science. Providing instruction in scientific concepts, theories, principles, and methodologies to help students develop a deep understanding of the natural world. Hands-on Experiments: Conducting hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and laboratory activities to illustrate scientific principles and phenomena. Guiding students in conducting experiments, making observations, collecting data, and drawing conclusions. Critical Thinking: Encouraging critical thinking, inquiry, and problem-solving skills through scientific inquiry and investigation. Challenging students to ask questions, formulate hypotheses, design experiments, and analyze results independently. Literacy Skills: Developing students' scientific literacy skills, including reading comprehension, scientific writing, and information literacy. Teaching students to interpret scientific texts, analyze data, and communicate scientific ideas effectively. STEM Integration: Integrating science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) concepts and practices into lessons and activities. Providing interdisciplinary learning experiences that highlight the connections between scientific disciplines and real-world applications. Environmental Awareness: Promoting environmental awareness and sustainability by exploring topics such as climate change, biodiversity, conservation, and renewable energy. Engaging students in discussions and projects that address environmental challenges and solutions. Safety Protocols: Ensuring the safety of students during laboratory experiments and activities by implementing appropriate safety protocols and procedures. Providing instruction on laboratory safety, handling hazardous materials, and using scientific equipment safely. Assessment and Evaluation: Assessing student learning and understanding through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods, such as quizzes, tests, projects, presentations, and lab reports.
