Job description

Curriculum Development: Designing and planning instructional units, lesson plans, and experiments aligned with curriculum standards and educational objectives in various branches of science (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics). Integrating scientific inquiry, hands-on experiments, and real-world applications to enhance learning experiences. Classroom Instruction: Delivering engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities of students. Using a variety of teaching methods, including demonstrations, laboratory activities, group discussions, and multimedia resources to facilitate understanding of scientific concepts. Subject-Specific Knowledge: Teaching fundamental principles, theories, and laws in biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences, and environmental sciences. Exploring scientific phenomena, processes, and systems to deepen students' understanding of the natural world. Experimental Skills and Laboratory Work: Conducting laboratory experiments, investigations, and demonstrations to illustrate scientific principles and promote inquiry-based learning. Guiding students in developing experimental skills, data collection, analysis, and interpretation of results. Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Promoting critical thinking skills by challenging students to analyze data, draw conclusions, and solve scientific problems. Encouraging scientific inquiry, hypothesis testing, and the formulation of evidence-based explanations. Science and Technology Integration: Integrating technology tools, such as computer simulations, data logging devices, and educational software, to enhance scientific inquiry and visualization of scientific concepts. Exploring the impact of technological advancements on scientific research, innovation, and societal progress. Environmental Awareness and Sustainability: Addressing environmental issues, sustainability practices, and human impacts on ecosystems through scientific inquiry and case studies. Promoting awareness of environmental stewardship, conservation efforts, and responsible use of natural resources. Interdisciplinary Connections: Connecting scientific concepts with other disciplines, such as mathematics, technology, engineering, and social sciences, to demonstrate interdisciplinary applications. Collaborating with colleagues to integrate STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education initiatives and project-based learning experiences.
