Provide recommendations on menu items, specials, and wine pairings based on guests' preferences and dietary restrictions. Service Coordination: Coordinate service activities with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages. Communicate guest orders and special requests to the culinary team and monitor order preparation to maintain smooth service flow. Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes and beverages served meet the restaurant's quality standards in terms of taste, presentation, and temperature. Conduct regular checks on food and drink quality and address any issues or discrepancies promptly. Table Maintenance: Monitor tables throughout the dining experience to ensure cleanliness, proper table settings, and guest comfort. Clear empty plates, utensils, and glassware promptly, and reset tables for the next guests. Guest Interaction: Interact with guests throughout their dining experience to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or requests. Anticipate guests' needs and provide personalized service to enhance their experience and encourage repeat visits. Upselling and Promotion: Promote specials, seasonal dishes, and beverage offerings to guests to increase sales and enhance their dining experience. Encourage guests to try new items or indulge in additional courses or drinks. Billing and Payment: Present bills to guests, accurately itemizing their orders and providing information on pricing and taxes. Process payments promptly and efficiently, handling cash, credit cards, and electronic payments as required. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the restaurant staff, including servers, bussers, and runners, to deliver exceptional service and exceed guest expectations. Provide guidance, support, and coaching to team members to enhance their performance and professional development. Problem Resolution: Address any guest complaints, issues, or concerns promptly and professionally.
