Job description

Guest Service: Ensuring excellent customer service by greeting guests, assisting with seating arrangements, and addressing any special requests or concerns. Providing menu recommendations, taking orders accurately, and ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages. Team Coordination: Supervising and coordinating the activities of waitstaff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about menu items, specials, and service standards. Assigning sections or tables to waitstaff and ensuring even distribution of workload. Service Standards: Upholding high standards of service and hospitality to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty. Monitoring dining room ambiance, cleanliness, and table setups to meet restaurant standards. Order Management: Overseeing the flow of orders from kitchen to tables, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in food and beverage delivery. Addressing any delays or issues with orders promptly and professionally. Problem Resolution: Handling guest complaints or concerns effectively, resolving issues to ensure a positive dining experience. Escalating complex issues to restaurant management as needed. Training and Development: Training new waitstaff on service standards, menu knowledge, and customer interaction techniques. Providing ongoing coaching and feedback to enhance team performance and customer satisfaction. Sales and Upselling: Promoting additional menu items, specials, or beverages to increase sales and enhance the dining experience. Using suggestive selling techniques to upsell appetizers, desserts, or premium menu items. Cash Handling: Handling cash transactions, processing credit card payments, and ensuring accuracy in bill settlements. Reconciling daily cash receipts and maintaining proper documentation. Health and Safety: Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in the dining area. Monitoring cleanliness of tables, chairs, and dining utensils to maintain a hygienic environment. Communication: Maintaining clear communication with kitchen staff, bar staff, and management to coordinate orders and resolve issues. Providing feedback to restaurant management on guest preferences, operational challenges, and service improvements.
