Job description

Staff Coordination: Assigning duties to waitstaff, hosts/hostesses, and other front-of-house personnel, and ensuring that they understand their roles and responsibilities for the shift. Training and Development: Providing training to new staff members and ongoing coaching to existing team members to maintain high service standards and improve performance. Guest Relations: Interacting with guests to ensure they have a positive dining experience. This includes greeting guests, addressing any concerns or special requests, and soliciting feedback to continuously improve service quality. Table Management: Overseeing the seating process to optimize table turnover and ensure efficient use of dining space. This may involve managing reservations, assigning tables, and coordinating with the kitchen to maintain a steady flow of orders. Order Supervision: Monitoring the progress of orders from placement to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You may also assist with taking orders during peak times to expedite service. Problem Resolution: Handling customer complaints or issues that arise during service, resolving them promptly and effectively to maintain customer satisfaction. Quality Control: Conducting regular checks to ensure that food presentation, portion sizes, and overall quality meet the restaurant's standards. Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels of front-of-house supplies such as utensils, glassware, and linens, and coordinating with management to reorder as needed. Up-Selling and Promotion: Encouraging waitstaff to upsell menu items, specials, and promotions to increase revenue and enhance the dining experience for guests. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations in all front-of-house areas, including cleanliness, sanitation, and proper handling of food and beverages. Team Communication: Facilitating communication between front-of-house and back-of-house staff to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration. Performance Evaluation: Conducting performance evaluations for front-of-house staff and providing feedback for improvement or recognition of exceptional performance.
