Job description

Reservation System Management: Managing and overseeing the reservation system or software used for booking accommodations, tables (in restaurants), or event spaces. This includes ensuring the system is updated, accurate, and efficient. Booking Coordination: Handling reservations and bookings, including processing inquiries, confirming reservations, and managing cancellations or modifications. Inventory Management: Monitoring room or table availability and optimizing occupancy rates to maximize revenue. This involves forecasting demand, setting pricing strategies, and implementing promotional offers when necessary. Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service to guests or clients by responding promptly to inquiries, resolving issues related to reservations, and ensuring a positive booking experience. Sales and Revenue Generation: Collaborating with the sales and marketing team to promote special packages, upsell additional services or upgrades, and achieve revenue targets. Reporting and Analysis: Generating reports on reservation trends, occupancy rates, and revenue performance. Analyzing data to identify opportunities for improvement and implementing strategies to increase bookings and revenue. Training and Supervision: Training and supervising reservation staff to ensure they understand booking procedures, customer service standards, and use of reservation systems. Communication: Liaising with other departments such as front desk, housekeeping, and sales to coordinate guest arrivals, room allocations, special requests, and ensure smooth operations. Quality Assurance: Ensuring accuracy of reservation records, maintaining confidentiality of guest information, and adhering to company policies and procedures. Problem Solving: Addressing guest complaints or issues related to reservations promptly and effectively, finding suitable solutions to enhance guest satisfaction. Forecasting and Planning: Planning ahead for peak periods, holidays, and special events to effectively manage reservations and ensure seamless operations. Adherence to Regulations: Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and regulations related to reservations, data protection, and payment processing.
