Job description

Managing Reservation Systems: Overseeing the use of reservation management software or systems to handle bookings, cancellations, and modifications accurately and efficiently. Monitoring Reservation Trends: Analyzing reservation data and trends to forecast demand, optimize inventory, and develop pricing strategies to maximize revenue. Setting Reservation Policies: Establishing and enforcing reservation policies and procedures to ensure consistency and fairness in the booking process, including cancellation policies, deposit requirements, and reservation confirmation procedures. Training and Supervision: Training and supervising reservation staff to ensure they are knowledgeable about reservation processes, customer service standards, and product offerings. Providing ongoing coaching and feedback to improve performance. Customer Service: Ensuring that reservation staff provide exceptional customer service to guests by promptly responding to inquiries, resolving issues or concerns, and accommodating special requests. Collaboration with Other Departments: Collaborating with sales, marketing, and revenue management teams to align reservation strategies with overall business objectives and marketing initiatives. Inventory Management: Monitoring room availability, managing room allocations, and coordinating with housekeeping and front desk staff to optimize room utilization and ensure efficient turnover. Reporting and Analysis: Generating reports on reservation performance, occupancy rates, revenue trends, and other key metrics to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement. Forecasting and Planning: Developing short-term and long-term forecasts for reservation demand and revenue, and developing strategies to meet or exceed targets. Quality Assurance: Conducting regular audits of reservation data and processes to ensure accuracy, compliance with company policies and industry regulations, and adherence to service standards. Maintaining Relationships: Building and maintaining positive relationships with travel agents, corporate clients, and other booking channels to drive business and enhance the reputation of the property. Continuous Improvement: Staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in reservation management to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
