Job description

Reservation System Management: Managing the reservation system software to ensure accuracy and efficiency in booking rooms, managing availability, and updating rates and promotions. Booking Coordination: Handling reservations via phone, email, online booking platforms, or in-person inquiries, and ensuring that guests' requests are accommodated to the best of your ability. Rate and Inventory Management: Setting and adjusting room rates based on demand, occupancy levels, and market conditions, and managing inventory to maximize revenue and occupancy rates. Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service to guests during the reservation process, addressing inquiries, resolving issues or concerns, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Sales and Upselling: Identifying opportunities to upsell rooms, upgrades, packages, or additional services to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue. Collaboration with Other Departments: Working closely with front desk staff, housekeeping, sales and marketing teams, and other departments to coordinate room assignments, special requests, and guest preferences. Forecasting and Reporting: Analyzing reservation data, occupancy trends, and booking patterns to forecast future demand and optimize revenue strategies, and generating reports to track performance and inform decision-making. Training and Development: Training reservation staff on reservation system procedures, customer service protocols, and upselling techniques to ensure consistency and professionalism in handling reservations. Communication Skills: Communicating effectively with guests, colleagues, and management, both verbally and in writing, to convey information, address concerns, and coordinate reservations. Problem-Solving: Resolving reservation discrepancies, handling cancellations and modifications, and managing overbooking situations with tact and efficiency to minimize guest inconvenience. Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in recording reservation details, processing payments, and confirming bookings to prevent errors and discrepancies. Adaptability: Being able to adapt to changes in demand, guest preferences, or operational requirements, and adjusting reservation strategies accordingly to meet business objectives.
