Job description

Installation and Setup: Installing refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and piping. Ensuring proper alignment, leveling, and connection of components according to specifications and blueprints. Maintenance and Repair: Performing routine maintenance on refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Inspecting and testing refrigeration systems, identifying issues, and troubleshooting malfunctions. Repairing or replacing defective components, such as compressors, motors, thermostats, and expansion valves. Refrigerant Handling and Charging: Handling refrigerants safely and in accordance with environmental regulations (e.g., EPA regulations). Charging refrigeration systems with the correct amount of refrigerant and ensuring proper pressure levels. System Testing and Calibration: Conducting performance tests and calibrations on refrigeration systems to verify functionality and efficiency. Adjusting controls and settings to optimize system performance and energy consumption. Emergency Repairs and Service Calls: Responding to emergency service calls for refrigeration system breakdowns or malfunctions. Diagnosing problems quickly and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime. Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, parts inventory, and service history. Providing detailed reports to document findings, recommendations, and completed work. Safety and Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment. Following industry regulations and codes, including those related to refrigerant handling and disposal. Customer Service and Communication: Interacting professionally with customers to understand their refrigeration needs and concerns. Providing technical advice, explaining repair procedures, and answering questions about system operation. Upgrades and Retrofitting: Recommending and implementing upgrades or retrofits to improve system efficiency, reliability, and environmental performance. Keeping abreast of technological advancements and industry trends in refrigeration systems. Training and Development: Participating in training programs and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge. Staying informed about new products, tools, and techniques related to refrigeration technology.
