Job description

Installation: Refrigeration technicians install new refrigeration systems and equipment, including refrigerators, freezers, walk-in coolers, ice machines, refrigerated display cases, and HVACR systems with refrigeration components. They follow blueprints, specifications, and building codes to ensure proper installation and system functionality. Maintenance: Refrigeration technicians perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the efficiency, reliability, and safety of refrigeration systems. This includes inspecting equipment, checking refrigerant levels, cleaning coils and components, lubricating moving parts, and replacing worn or faulty parts as needed. Regular maintenance helps prevent breakdowns, optimize performance, and extend the lifespan of refrigeration equipment. Repair: Refrigeration technicians diagnose and troubleshoot problems with refrigeration systems, such as compressor failures, refrigerant leaks, electrical issues, temperature fluctuations, and system malfunctions. They use diagnostic tools, gauges, and meters to identify the root cause of problems and implement effective repair solutions. This may involve repairing or replacing components, adjusting settings, or recharging refrigerant levels to restore system functionality. Refrigerant Handling: Refrigeration technicians handle refrigerants safely and responsibly in compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
