Job description

Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers, vendors, and contractors to fulfill procurement requirements. Establish and maintain relationships with vendors to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and service levels. Sourcing and Procurement: Source, evaluate, and procure goods and services required by various departments or projects within the organization. Develop procurement strategies, specifications, and sourcing plans to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, purchase agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs) with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and conditions. Ensure contracts comply with legal requirements, procurement policies, and industry standards. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, stock availability, and demand forecasts to optimize inventory management and prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to determine inventory needs and replenishment schedules. Cost Management: Implement cost-saving initiatives, value engineering strategies, and competitive bidding processes to reduce procurement costs and maximize cost efficiencies. Analyze price trends, market conditions, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost optimization. Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and compliance of purchased goods and services by establishing quality standards, conducting supplier audits, and implementing quality control measures. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to resolve issues related to product quality or non-conformance. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, such as supply chain disruptions, supplier dependencies, and compliance risks. Develop contingency plans, alternative sourcing strategies, and risk mitigation measures to minimize disruptions to operations. Procurement Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency, transparency, and compliance. Implement best practices, automation tools, and technology solutions to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort. Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards governing procurement practices. Conduct procurement activities with integrity, transparency, and fairness, adhering to ethical principles and organizational values. Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports, dashboards, and analytics to track procurement performance, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide insights to stakeholders. Analyze procurement data, spending patterns, and supplier performance to support strategic decision-making and process optimization.
