Job description

Production Planning: Plan and organize production schedules to ensure optimal use of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials. Coordinate with other departments to align production goals with overall business objectives. Supervision and Team Management: Supervise and manage production staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, providing training and guidance, and conducting performance evaluations. Foster a positive and productive work environment. Quality Control: Monitor product quality and ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. Implement quality control measures, conduct inspections, and address any quality issues or non-conformities that arise during production. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all production personnel. Conduct safety inspections, promote safety awareness, and address safety concerns promptly. Production Efficiency: Optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiatives. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished products. Coordinate with procurement and logistics departments to ensure timely availability of materials and efficient inventory control. Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for production equipment and machinery. Ensure that equipment is properly maintained, serviced, and repaired to minimize disruptions to production schedules. Communication and Coordination: Communicate effectively with management, supervisors, and production staff to relay production schedules, goals, and priorities. Coordinate with support departments (such as maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics) to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations. Cost Management: Monitor production costs and expenses within budgetary constraints. Implement cost-saving measures and control expenditures related to labor, materials, and overhead. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation. Compile data on production metrics, such as output volumes, cycle times, and defect rates. Prepare reports for management review and analysis. Training and Development: Identify training needs and provide ongoing training to production staff on operational procedures, safety practices, and quality standards. Foster skill development and career growth opportunities within the production team. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
