Job description

Responsibilities: Machine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and cleaning of printing machines to ensure they operate efficiently and meet manufacturer specifications. Lubricate moving parts, replace worn-out components, and perform adjustments to maintain print quality and extend equipment lifespan. Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues affecting printing equipment performance. Use diagnostic tools, manuals, and technical documentation to pinpoint problems and implement solutions to minimize downtime. Repair and Calibration: Perform repairs and component replacements to fix malfunctioning parts such as print heads, rollers, belts, motors, and sensors. Calibrate printing machines to ensure accurate alignment, registration, and color consistency according to job specifications. Software and Firmware Updates: Install and update printer software, drivers, and firmware to resolve compatibility issues, improve performance, and incorporate new features. Test and validate software updates to ensure they do not impact printing quality or operational stability. Quality Control: Conduct print tests, color calibrations, and quality checks to verify output meets customer requirements and industry standards. Adjust printer settings and parameters to optimize print quality, resolution, and color accuracy based on job specifications. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling printing equipment, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure compliance with environmental regulations for handling and disposal of printing consumables, such as inks and toners. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, parts inventory, and service history for each printing machine. Generate service reports, documentation of troubleshooting steps, and recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements. Customer Support: Collaborate with production teams, print operators, and customers to address printing issues, provide technical assistance, and offer training on equipment operation and maintenance. Communicate effectively with clients or internal stakeholders to understand printing requirements and ensure customer satisfaction. Skills: Technical Expertise: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and software issues in printing equipment. Problem-Solving Abilities: Analytical skills to troubleshoot complex problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions under time constraints. Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding of printer mechanics, components, and assembly to perform repairs and adjustments accurately. Electrical Knowledge: Familiarity with electrical systems, circuits, and components involved in printing machinery operation.
