Job description

Strategic Leadership: Providing visionary leadership and strategic direction for the nursing faculty, aligning its mission, goals, and initiatives with the broader objectives of the institution and the healthcare industry. Academic Oversight: Overseeing the academic programs offered by the nursing faculty, including curriculum development, accreditation compliance, program evaluation, and academic standards. Faculty Development: Supporting the professional development of faculty members through mentoring, training, and opportunities for scholarship, research, and continuing education. Student Success: Promoting student success by fostering a supportive learning environment, implementing student-centered teaching methodologies, and providing resources and support services to enhance student learning and retention. Administrative Management: Managing the administrative functions of the nursing faculty, including budgeting, resource allocation, facilities management, and staff supervision. Community Engagement: Cultivating partnerships with healthcare organizations, community agencies, and stakeholders to enhance clinical placements, research opportunities, and community outreach initiatives. Advocacy: Advocating for the nursing profession, nursing education, and healthcare policy issues at the institutional, regional, and national levels. Quality Improvement: Implementing quality improvement processes to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of nursing education, clinical practice, and research activities within the faculty. Accreditation Compliance: Ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and requirements set forth by relevant accrediting bodies, such as the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Strategic Partnerships: Collaborating with other departments, schools, and disciplines within the institution to promote interdisciplinary education, research collaboration, and innovative healthcare delivery models. Crisis Management: Providing leadership and guidance during times of crisis or emergency situations, such as natural disasters, public health emergencies, or institutional challenges. Promotion and Marketing: Promoting the nursing faculty's programs, achievements, and contributions to attract prospective students, faculty, and funding opportunities.
