Job description

Installation of Plumbing Systems: Installing and configuring plumbing fixtures, pipes, fittings, and appliances in new construction or renovation projects. Plumbing technicians follow blueprints, building codes, and engineering specifications to ensure proper placement and connection of plumbing components. Repair and Maintenance: Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with plumbing systems, including leaks, clogs, pipe bursts, and faulty fixtures. Plumbing technicians use tools and equipment such as wrenches, pipe cutters, augers, and hydro-jetters to repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning components. Pipe Fitting and Welding: Cutting, bending, and joining pipes using welding, soldering, or threading techniques to create custom plumbing configurations. Plumbing technicians select appropriate materials and methods for pipe fitting based on the type of piping system and the specific requirements of the installation. Drain Cleaning and Clearing: Clearing clogged drains, sewer lines, and plumbing vents using mechanical snakes, drain augers, hydro-jetters, or chemical drain cleaners. Plumbing technicians remove obstructions, debris, and buildup to restore proper drainage and prevent backups or overflows. Water Heater Installation and Repair: Installing, servicing, and repairing water heaters, including tankless water heaters, traditional tank-style heaters, and heat pump water heaters.
