Job description

Assessment: Conducting thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities, range of motion, strength, posture, and functional mobility. This may involve using a variety of assessment tools and techniques to identify areas of impairment or dysfunction. Diagnosis: Formulating a clinical diagnosis based on the assessment findings and identifying the underlying causes of patients' physical problems or limitations. Treatment Planning: Developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs, goals, and condition. This may include setting functional goals, outlining treatment objectives, and selecting appropriate interventions. Therapeutic Interventions: Administering a range of therapeutic techniques and modalities to address patients' physical impairments and promote recovery. This may include: Manual therapy techniques such as joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, and manipulation. Therapeutic exercises to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and balance. Neuromuscular re-education to improve motor control and coordination. Pain management strategies such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, or heat/cold therapy. Hydrotherapy or aquatic therapy for patients with mobility restrictions. Assistive devices and adaptive equipment to support mobility and independence. Patient Education: Providing education and guidance to patients and their caregivers on injury prevention, self-management strategies, and techniques for optimizing physical function. This may include teaching proper body mechanics, ergonomics, and home exercise programs. Progress Monitoring: Monitoring patients' progress throughout the course of treatment, reassessing their physical status, and modifying treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes. Collaboration: Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, surgeons, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, to coordinate patient care and achieve integrated treatment goals. Pain Management: Developing comprehensive pain management plans for patients experiencing acute or chronic pain. This may involve a combination of therapeutic interventions, modalities, and techniques to alleviate pain and improve quality of life. Rehabilitation: Providing rehabilitation services to patients recovering from surgery, traumatic injuries, or neurological conditions such as stroke or spinal cord injury. This may involve intensive rehabilitation programs aimed at restoring function and maximizing independence. Research and Continuing Education: Engaging in evidence-based practice, staying abreast of current research and developments in the field of physiotherapy, and participating in continuing education activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
