Job description

Patient Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions, including their mobility, strength, range of motion, posture, and overall function. Use clinical reasoning and specialized tests to diagnose musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, and respiratory impairments. Treatment Planning and Implementation: Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement evidence-based physiotherapy techniques and interventions to promote recovery, improve physical function, and relieve pain. Therapeutic Interventions: Provide hands-on manual therapy techniques such as joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, and therapeutic massage to improve muscle flexibility, joint mobility, and tissue healing. Prescribe and supervise therapeutic exercises to strengthen muscles, improve endurance, enhance balance, and restore functional abilities. Use modalities like ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, cold, and traction to manage pain, reduce inflammation, and promote tissue healing. Patient Education and Counseling: Educate patients and their caregivers about their condition, treatment plan, and self-management strategies to optimize recovery and prevent recurrence. Provide advice on ergonomics, posture correction, and lifestyle modifications to promote health and prevent injuries. Progress Monitoring and Reassessment: Regularly reassess patients' progress and modify treatment plans as needed to achieve therapeutic goals and functional outcomes. Document treatment sessions, patient progress, and outcomes accurately in medical records. Collaboration and Interdisciplinary Care: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, surgeons, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress, treatment plans, and discharge planning. Pain Management: Assess and manage acute and chronic pain conditions using a combination of manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and pain management strategies. Preventive Care and Health Promotion: Develop and implement injury prevention programs, exercise programs, and wellness initiatives to promote physical health and well-being in individuals and communities. Conduct health screenings, fitness assessments, and ergonomic evaluations to identify risk factors and promote healthy lifestyles. Research and Evidence-Based Practice: Stay updated with advancements in physiotherapy research, techniques, and best practices. Incorporate evidence-based practice into clinical decision-making and treatment planning. Professional Development: Participate in continuing education courses, workshops, conferences, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills, knowledge, and competency. Maintain licensure or certification requirements as per regulatory standards in the region of practice.
