Job description

Health and Wellness Programs: Collaborating with nursing faculty to develop health and wellness programs tailored to the needs of nursing students. These programs could include fitness classes, stress management techniques, nutrition education, and mindfulness practices. Physical Fitness Assessments: Conducting physical fitness assessments for nursing students to evaluate their baseline fitness levels, identify areas for improvement, and develop personalized exercise plans. Exercise Prescription: Providing exercise prescription services to nursing students, taking into account their individual health status, fitness goals, and any medical conditions or restrictions. Group Fitness Classes: Leading group fitness classes specifically designed for nursing students, focusing on improving cardiovascular health, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, and balance. Health Education Workshops: Facilitating health education workshops on topics such as injury prevention, ergonomics, proper body mechanics, and self-care strategies for nurses. Stress Reduction Techniques: Teaching stress reduction techniques and relaxation exercises to help nursing students manage stress, promote mental well-being, and prevent burnout. Physical Activity Integration: Integrating physical activity breaks into nursing lectures, workshops, and clinical rotations to promote movement and reduce sedentary behavior among students. Research Collaboration: Collaborating with nursing faculty on research projects related to the effects of physical activity and exercise on nursing student health, academic performance, and clinical practice. Professional Development: Providing professional development opportunities for nursing faculty on topics related to physical activity promotion, exercise prescription, and wellness coaching.
