Job description

Curriculum Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive physical education curriculum aligned with educational standards and learning objectives. Design age-appropriate activities and exercises to enhance students' physical fitness, motor skills, coordination, and sportsmanship. Lesson Planning: Plan and prepare engaging and dynamic PE lessons that cater to the diverse needs, abilities, and interests of students. Incorporate a variety of activities, games, sports, fitness challenges, and team-building exercises to promote active participation and enjoyment. Instructional Delivery: Deliver effective instruction in various physical activities, sports, and fitness concepts. Demonstrate proper techniques, skills, and strategies in activities such as athletics, gymnastics, dance, team sports, individual sports, and recreational games. Fitness Assessment: Conduct fitness assessments and evaluations to measure students' physical fitness levels, flexibility, strength, endurance, and cardiovascular health. Use assessment results to design personalized fitness plans and track students' progress over time. Health Education: Provide instruction on health-related topics such as nutrition, hydration, injury prevention, first aid, hygiene, and the importance of regular physical activity for overall health and well-being. Promote healthy lifestyle choices and positive attitudes toward physical fitness. Safety Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of students during physical activities, sports, and fitness exercises. Implement safety protocols, rules, and procedures to prevent injuries and accidents. Supervise students closely and provide immediate assistance in case of emergencies. Equipment Management: Manage sports equipment, gear, and facilities to ensure they are clean, well-maintained, and safe for use. Organize equipment storage, inventory, and distribution for PE classes and extracurricular activities. Inclusion and Differentiation: Create an inclusive and supportive environment that accommodates students of all abilities, fitness levels, and backgrounds. Modify activities and exercises as needed to meet individual needs and provide opportunities for success for all students. Positive Reinforcement: Encourage and motivate students to set personal fitness goals, challenge themselves, and strive for improvement. Provide positive reinforcement, feedback, and recognition to students for their effort, progress, and achievements in PE classes. Sports Coaching: Coach school sports teams and athletes in specific sports and athletic events. Provide training, skill development, strategy sessions, and game preparation to help athletes excel in competitions and represent the school with pride. Community Engagement: Collaborate with parents, community organizations, and local sports clubs to promote physical activity, health, and fitness initiatives in the school and wider community. Organize events, workshops, and outreach programs to engage students and families in active lifestyles. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development activities, such as attending workshops, conferences, or training sessions, to enhance teaching skills, coaching techniques, fitness knowledge, and safety practices in physical education.
