Job description

Curriculum Development: Developing physical education curriculum and lesson plans that align with educational standards and objectives. Designing activities and exercises that promote cardiovascular fitness, strength, flexibility, and motor skills development. Fitness Instruction: Leading fitness activities, exercises, and workouts to improve students' overall physical fitness levels. Incorporating a variety of fitness modalities such as aerobic exercise, strength training, flexibility training, and functional movement exercises. Sports Instruction: Teaching fundamental skills, techniques, and strategies in various sports and recreational activities. Providing coaching and guidance to help students develop proficiency and competence in sports such as basketball, soccer, volleyball, tennis, and others. Health Education: Educating students on topics related to health, nutrition, wellness, and lifestyle choices. Discussing the importance of physical activity, proper nutrition, hydration, sleep, and stress management for overall well-being. Safety and Injury Prevention: Ensuring a safe and supportive environment for physical activity by implementing safety guidelines, rules, and procedures. Teaching proper warm-up, cool-down, and stretching techniques to prevent injuries during physical exercise. Fitness Testing and Assessment: Conducting fitness assessments and tests to evaluate students' physical fitness levels and progress over time. Using assessment results to design individualized fitness programs and set fitness goals. Adapted Physical Education: Modifying physical education activities and exercises to accommodate students with disabilities or special needs. Providing personalized instruction and support to ensure inclusive participation in physical activities. Team Building and Leadership: Fostering teamwork, cooperation, and leadership skills through group activities, team sports, and collaborative challenges. Promoting positive sportsmanship, respect, and fair play among students. Equipment Management: Organizing and maintaining sports equipment, facilities, and resources used for physical education classes and activities. Ensuring proper care, storage, and maintenance of equipment to prolong lifespan and safety. Community Engagement: Collaborating with parents, community organizations, and health professionals to promote physical activity and wellness initiatives. Organizing community events, fitness challenges, and outreach programs to engage students and families in healthy lifestyles.
