Job description

Operational Management: Supervise all aspects of daily operations, including fuel dispensing, customer service, cash handling, inventory management, and facility maintenance. Ensure that operational processes are efficient, safe, and compliant with industry regulations. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise petrol pump attendants and other staff members. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to ensure that employees perform their duties effectively and adhere to company policies and procedures. Customer Service: Promote a customer-centric culture by providing excellent service to patrons. Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally. Ensure that customer needs are met and that their experience at the petrol pump is positive. Sales and Revenue Management: Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and develop strategies to maximize revenue and profitability. Implement promotional activities, discounts, and loyalty programs to attract customers and increase sales volumes. Inventory Control: Manage fuel inventory levels, track fuel deliveries, and reconcile stock records to prevent shortages or overages. Monitor fuel quality, conduct periodic inspections, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations governing petrol filling stations, including safety, environmental, and licensing requirements. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any compliance issues. Financial Management: Oversee financial activities such as cash management, billing, invoicing, and expense control. Monitor expenses, revenues, and profit margins to achieve financial targets and objectives. Facility Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness, functionality, and appearance of the petrol pump facility. Coordinate repairs, maintenance services, and equipment upgrades as needed to ensure a safe and inviting environment for customers and staff. Security Measures: Implement security protocols to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access to the premises. Install surveillance cameras, alarms, and security systems and train staff on security procedures to mitigate risks. Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans to address accidents, spills, fires, and other incidents. Ensure that staff are trained in emergency procedures and that appropriate safety equipment and resources are available on-site. Vendor and Supplier Management: Establish relationships with fuel suppliers, vendors, and service providers. Negotiate contracts, manage vendor agreements, and oversee supplier performance to ensure timely and reliable fuel deliveries and services. Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about changes in regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to petrol filling station operations. Ensure that the petrol pump remains in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations at all times.
