Fuel Dispensing: Pumping petrol or other fuel types into customers' vehicles, adhering to safety protocols and ensuring accurate measurements. Customer Service: Providing courteous and efficient service to customers, including greeting them, assisting with fuel selection, processing payments, and answering questions about fuel types, prices, and services offered. Payment Processing: Accepting various forms of payment for fuel purchases, such as cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, and fuel cards. Operating cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems to process transactions accurately. Fuel Quality Assurance: Ensuring the quality and purity of the fuel being dispensed by regularly inspecting fuel pumps, hoses, and nozzles for leaks, damage, or contamination. Reporting any issues to management for prompt resolution. Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents, spills, and fires at the fuel station. Following proper procedures for handling fuel, operating pumps, and responding to emergencies. Environmental Protection: Taking measures to prevent fuel spills and leaks that could harm the environment. Properly disposing of used fuel containers, absorbing spills with absorbent materials, and reporting any environmental incidents to appropriate authorities. Station Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance tasks to keep the fuel station clean, organized, and well-maintained. This may include sweeping the forecourt, cleaning fuel pumps and signage, emptying trash bins, and restocking supplies. Inventory Management: Monitoring fuel levels in underground storage tanks and ordering fuel deliveries as needed to maintain adequate supply. Conducting periodic inventory checks and reconciling fuel sales with inventory records. Security Measures: Implementing security measures to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access to fuel station premises. Installing security cameras, alarms, and lighting to deter criminal activity and ensure the safety of customers and staff. Emergency Response: Being prepared to respond to emergencies such as fuel spills, fires, medical incidents, or security breaches. Following emergency protocols, contacting emergency services as needed, and providing assistance to customers and staff in distress. Regulatory Compliance: Staying informed about local, state, and federal regulations governing fuel station operations, including licensing requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
