Job description

Dispensing Fuel: Pump petrol or diesel into customers' vehicles accurately and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Monitor fuel levels in underground tanks and ensure proper functioning of fuel pumps and equipment. Customer Service: Greet customers as they arrive at the station, assist them in refueling their vehicles, and provide information about fuel options, prices, and payment methods. Address any concerns or inquiries customers may have in a polite and professional manner. Cash Handling: Accept cash payments and process credit or debit card transactions accurately. Use electronic point-of-sale (POS) systems to process transactions and issue receipts to customers. Maintain cash registers and reconcile sales at the end of each shift. Safety and Environmental Compliance: Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents, spills, and fuel contamination. Monitor fueling areas for any potential hazards and respond promptly to emergency situations, such as fuel spills or fire incidents. Maintenance and Housekeeping: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning fuel pumps, replenishing fuel supplies, and organizing inventory in the station's shop. Keep the fueling area and convenience store clean and organized to provide a pleasant experience for customers. Product Knowledge: Stay informed about different types of fuel, additives, and lubricants offered by the station. Educate customers about fuel grades, octane ratings, and the benefits of using specific products to meet their vehicle's requirements. Inventory Management: Monitor fuel inventory levels and place orders with suppliers as needed to maintain adequate stock levels. Receive fuel deliveries, inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, and update inventory records accordingly. Security Measures: Implement security measures to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access to fueling areas and station premises. Monitor surveillance cameras and report any suspicious activity to management or law enforcement authorities. Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, such as medical incidents, accidents, or vehicle breakdowns, by providing assistance to customers and contacting emergency services if necessary. Administer basic first aid and follow established procedures for handling emergencies. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other station attendants and employees to ensure efficient operations and provide support as needed. Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to address any issues or concerns that may arise during shifts.
