Fuel Dispensing: Operate fuel pumps and dispensers to fill customers' vehicles with petrol or diesel fuel. Monitor fuel levels in underground storage tanks and ensure the availability of fuel at all times. Customer Service: Greet customers as they arrive at the petrol station and assist them with refueling their vehicles. Provide friendly and efficient service, answer questions about fuel prices, grades, and payment methods, and address any concerns or issues raised by customers. Payment Processing: Accept payments from customers for fuel purchases, either in cash or through electronic payment methods such as credit/debit cards or mobile payment apps. Process transactions accurately and efficiently, issue receipts, and reconcile cash drawers. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safe handling and dispensing of fuel. Follow proper procedures for grounding equipment, handling fuel nozzles, and preventing spills or leaks. Conduct routine safety checks and inspections of equipment and facilities. Inventory Management: Monitor fuel inventory levels and assist with inventory management tasks such as ordering fuel supplies, receiving deliveries, and performing stock reconciliations. Keep accurate records of fuel sales and inventory transactions. Maintenance and Housekeeping: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness and functionality of the petrol filling station. Clean fuel pumps, islands, and restrooms regularly. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to management. Promotions and Marketing: Assist with promotional activities and marketing campaigns to attract customers and increase sales. Display signage, banners, or promotional materials to advertise special offers, loyalty programs, or discounts. Traffic Management: Manage traffic flow within the petrol station premises to ensure safety and efficiency. Direct vehicles to available fuel pumps, guide drivers to parking spaces, and maintain orderly queues during peak hours. Emergency Response: Follow established procedures in the event of emergencies such as fuel spills, fires, or accidents. Initiate emergency shutdown procedures, evacuate customers and staff if necessary, and contact emergency services as required. Customer Education: Educate customers on fueling procedures, safety precautions, and environmental considerations. Provide information on fuel additives, octane ratings, and fuel economy tips to help customers make informed choices. Compliance with Regulations: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards governing the operation of petrol filling stations. Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and environmental guidelines related to fuel storage, handling, and disposal. Teamwork and Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other petrol filling station attendants, supervisors, and management to achieve common goals and objectives. Support colleagues during busy periods and contribute to a positive work environment.
