A Paint Mixer is responsible for selecting and measuring different components of paint, mixing them accurately, monitoring the paint for color and texture, adjusting the mixture as necessary, and labeling and packaging the paint properly. A Paint Technician is responsible for mixing, matching, and applying paint to surfaces in order to restore or maintain their aesthetic appeal. This position requires knowledge of the types of paints and the tools used to apply them, as well as the ability to work with various substrates and surfaces.
