Job description

Facility Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the operating theatre facility within the automotive plant or research center. This includes scheduling procedures, coordinating with surgeons or engineers, and ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of the operating room. Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of specialized equipment and instrumentation used in the operating theatre. This may include surgical tools, robotic systems, imaging devices, and other high-tech equipment required for automotive component procedures. Procedure Preparation: Prepare the operating theatre for procedures by ensuring that all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and sterilized. Collaborate with surgeons or engineers to set up the operating room according to procedure requirements. Assistance During Procedures: Provide assistance to surgeons or engineers during procedures conducted in the operating theatre. This may involve handing instruments, operating equipment, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with patient positioning. Sterilization Procedures: Perform sterilization procedures for surgical instruments and equipment to ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards. Follow established protocols for sterilization, disinfection, and maintenance of sterile fields. Patient Care: Provide basic patient care and support before, during, and after procedures conducted in the operating theatre. This may include assisting with patient positioning, monitoring vital signs, and responding to patient needs under the direction of medical or engineering staff. Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies or unexpected events that may occur during procedures in the operating theatre. Follow established protocols for emergency management, including resuscitation procedures and evacuation plans. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of procedures conducted in the operating theatre, including patient or component information, surgical notes, and equipment usage. Ensure that documentation is complete, organized, and compliant with regulatory requirements. Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance measures to ensure the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of procedures conducted in the operating theatre. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to established protocols and standards. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational hazards in the operating theatre. Follow guidelines for infection control, biohazard management, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with surgeons, engineers, nurses, and other healthcare or engineering professionals involved in procedures conducted in the operating theatre. Communicate effectively, follow instructions, and support teamwork to achieve successful outcomes. Continuing Education: Stay updated on advancements in surgical techniques, equipment technology, and safety protocols relevant to operating theatre procedures in the automotive industry. Participate in training programs, workshops, and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patient safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the surgical process. Communicate with patients, families, and caregivers to address concerns, provide information, and offer support during their experience in the operating theatre.
