Menu Planning: Developing menus featuring a variety of traditional North Indian dishes, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, and ensuring that dishes are authentic and reflect regional flavors and culinary techniques. Recipe Development: Creating and refining recipes for North Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori specialties, biryanis, kebabs, breads (such as naan and roti), and desserts (such as gulab jamun and jalebi), while incorporating fresh and seasonal ingredients for optimal flavor and quality. Food Preparation: Preparing ingredients, marinating meats, grinding spices, and cooking dishes according to traditional North Indian cooking methods, such as slow cooking, clay oven (tandoor) grilling, and tempering spices (tadka), to achieve the desired flavors, textures, and aromas. Cooking Techniques: Demonstrating proficiency in various cooking techniques specific to North Indian cuisine, including simmering, braising, sautéing, roasting, and shallow frying, to create rich and flavorful dishes with layers of spices and seasonings. Presentation: Plating dishes attractively and garnishing them with fresh herbs, nuts, and dried fruits to enhance their visual appeal and provide a complete dining experience reminiscent of North Indian hospitality. Quality Control: Ensuring that all dishes meet high standards of taste, texture, and appearance, and adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen.
