Menu Creation and Planning: Designing menus that feature a variety of North Indian dishes such as tandoori meats (like chicken tikka and kebabs), curries (such as butter chicken, rogan josh, and palak paneer), biryanis, chaats, and breads (like naan and paratha). Recipe Development: Developing and refining recipes to achieve authentic flavors and textures characteristic of North Indian cuisine. This involves mastering the use of spices like cumin, coriander, turmeric, garam masala, and fenugreek, among others. Ingredient Selection: Selecting high-quality ingredients such as meats (chicken, lamb), dairy products (paneer, ghee, yogurt), lentils (dal), fresh vegetables, and a variety of aromatic spices essential to North Indian cooking. Cooking Techniques: Expertise in traditional cooking methods such as slow-cooking, clay oven (tandoor) cooking, and tempering spices to enhance flavors. Tandoori cooking, in particular, is significant in North Indian cuisine for its distinctive smoky flavor. Presentation Skills: Arranging and presenting dishes attractively, often garnished with fresh herbs, sliced nuts, or a swirl of cream, to appeal to both visual and taste senses.
